2005 Indiana Statewide Orthophotography is now available from the Indiana Spatial Data Service (ISDS). The 2005 Indiana Orthophotography Project main page can be accessed by clicking here.

The 2004 Marion County orthophotography (color, 6-inch pixel) is now public domain thanks to a generous grant by the USGS.  These orthos can be downloaded, at no cost, from the Indiana Spatial Data Portal (ISDP) by clicking here. These files are very large in size (~80MB - 600+MB) and downloading them may take a considerable amount of time; therefore, downloading these files over a dial-up connection is not recommended.

Contact Mitch Osika 317-327-2155 mosika@indygov.org about alternate methods to obtain the photos if you are experiencing difficulties downloading them from the ISDP site.

IMAGIS Data Availability

Most IMAGIS data is available for viewing on the website (click "On-line Maps" above) -- for FREE!  You can turn layers on & off, pan & zoom, measure distance, find a street address or parcel number, and print.

Paper copies of the Assessors' Plat Book pages are available for a small fee from each Township Assessor.  You can look up parcel ownership, assessed value, payment history, parcel history and owner history (via subscription at a nominal fee) on Civicnet.

Electronic and paper IMAGIS data products are also available to the public for a fee via a license agreement.  Products include:

** - Additional aerial photography prior to 1986 is available for no data fee but may still incur a fee as outlined below. Contact Mitch Osika at 317-327-2155 or mosika@indygov.org for available years and pricing.

Staff billing rates are $50/hr.  Most requests take less than 1 billable hour.
Plots are $75, including data, staff time & material costs.  Multiple plots, especially to photo paper, will be slightly higher.

According to Indiana law for enhanced access (IC 5-14-3-8), we will waive the license fee for public agency program support, nonprofit activities, journalism, or academic research.  Depending on the request, there may still be a time & material fee.

License Process
Download the 2 page IMAGIS order form (Adobe Acrobat), and FAX (317-327-2157) or mail your signed copy.  Due to the need for a signed license agreement, we cannot accept phone or email requests.  Sorry.

Data requests are usually filled within 2 days of receipt of the signed license agreement.  We can "overnight" to your FedEx number.  We can invoice after delivery if you arrange it first.
